Veterans of the genre, guaranteed stadium showstoppers like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce & Gretchen Wilson, alongside the biggest up and coming stars in Ella Langley, Jordan Davis, Tucker Wetmore, Zach Top and so much more...

5 Essential Travel Tips for UK / EU Fans

1. Arrive Early — Jet Lag Is Your Friend:

The time difference from the UK is 6 hours.
Landing two days before the festival gives you time to explore Nashville and lets jet lag work in your favour — waking early means you can catch morning shows and line up for fan events.

2. Stay Downtown (If You Can):

The festival footprint runs along the river and Broadway. Staying downtown means you can walk everywhere.
Neighbourhoods that work best:
-
Downtown / SoBro
-
The Gulch
-
East Nashville (short Uber ride)
If you stay far out, rideshare prices surge during the festival.

3. Hydration Is Not Optional:

Nashville in June sits at around 30°C with humidity.
Veteran CMA Fest fans treat water like currency.
Bring:
-
refillable water-bottle
-
sunscreen
-
hat or cap

4. Download the Festival App:

The official CMA Connect App contains schedules, stage maps and updates. It's VITAL for navigating so many stages, set times and surprise appearances (that can, and will, happen at any moment).

5. Build Recovery Time Into Your Schedule:

Four days of standing, walking and dancing in the Tennessee sunshine coupled with late night Broadway bars and stadium nights is the best fun you'll ever have, but it definitely taes a toll on your body, so rest, hydration and recovery is vital to making sure you can enjoy the entire festival experience.

How to Navigate CMA Fest Like a Pro

Understand the Stage Ecosystem: there are multiple stages across downtown. Key ones include:
-
Nissan Stadium – nightly headline shows
-
Riverfront Stage – free daytime concerts
-
Fan Fair X stages – meet-and-greets + performances
-
Amp Stage – rising artists

Many daytime shows are completely free, meaning you can watch dozens of artists without a ticket.
Plan Around the Pedestrian Bridge. Every evening thousands of fans walk across the bridge between downtown and Nissan Stadium. The sunset skyline view of Nashville from that bridge has become an unofficial CMA Fest ritual.

Prioritise Emerging Artists
One of the highlights of CMA Fest: the artist playing a 3pm daytime slot might be headlining arenas two years later. Think:
-
Zach Top
-
Ella Langley
-
Shaboozey

Expect Surprise Collaborations
CMA Fest thrives on unexpected moments.
Past years have seen artists jump onstage unannounced or bring guests for duets — something the televised special loves capturing.

The Unofficial CMA Fest Rituals:

Broadway After Midnight:
The festival doesn’t end when the stadium lights go down. Lower Broadway bars host late-night songwriter rounds and pop-up performances that sometimes include major stars.

Meet the Artists at Fan Fair X
Inside the convention centre you can: get autographs, take photos, watch acoustic sets, discover new artists and browse official merch and vendors (and it's fully air-conditioned, which is heaven!

The First Bridge Walk
Every first-timer remembers the moment: you’re crossing the bridge with thousands of fans in boots, cowboy hats and snapbacks with the stunning Nashville skyline glowing in the sunset.
That’s when it hits you: you didn’t just travel to a festival — you travelled to the capital of country music.

Final Thought
For UK and EU country fans especially, CMA Fest is more than a gig. It’s the moment where the culture you’ve followed from across the Atlantic suddenly surrounds you: accents, songs, boots, stories and artists all in one place.
It’s chaotic, loud, sweaty, joyful — and completely addictive.
