First Time Flyers release first new music since their #1 album, 'Bound to Break.

I imagine it's an equal parts daunting and exciting prospect for any artist to follow up a #1 album, and that's exactly where First Time Flyers find themselves today; releasing their first new music since last September's spectacular UK Official Country Albums Chart #1 'Bound to Break.'
The offering: 'Do It All Over Again' - a feel-good, high-energy banger with an infectious melody that's gonna stay in your head for way longer than its two and a half minute duration. The message of the song is about taking your mistakes or your lessons on the chin and owning them rather than letting them bring you down.

Sonically, the song's a different vibe to anything the band's released before; it packs a different kind of punch to their other high energy hits such as 'Primadonna,' 'Out of Your Mind,' 'Walk the Line' or 'Jump,' but the DNA of 'Do It All Over Again' still showcases all the characteristics you'd expect of a First Time Flyers tune: gorgeous four-part harmonies, meaningful lyrics and rich, hooky melodies.
Adding an extra layer of excitement is the collaboration with recent tour-mates, Nashville-based guitar legends, Striking Matches, who provide slide guitar riffs throughout: it might just be the perfect partnership and I'm gonna try some of that Poppy Fardell level manifesting and say I hope we get to see both bands sharing the stage again to perform this song. They are both on The Long Road lineup, so who knows?

First Time Flyers return to The Long Road Festival for their 4th consecutive year in 2026.
Speaking to the guys about the song, which they wrote in May 2023, Jake said "the song's been in development for ages."
Poppy added: "we've had so many moments in this crazy thing that we're in together that we would love to do all over again and it just kept coming back to us and we were like, d'you know what - this song's really fun, so we took it back to the writing room, took it apart a little bit and re-did it."
"It was on the cusp of being on the album," adds Jake, "and then we did the album and this is almost like the bridge into the next era."
The song, much like the band themselves, IS really fun, and it's in these high-energy anthems where First Time Flyers prove that you can craft a banger that still has real depth and something meaningful to say. What I love most about FTF is that they're not making music just to be playlisted, they're writing music that means something, that matters to people and resonates, and the fact that they can achieve this with bangers like this just as much as with gut-punching ballads like 'Before the Wind Changes' or 'Almost' is a testament to their artistry and their authenticity as songwriters... so if this is the bridge between 'Bound to Break' and the "next era," I'm all in already.
